Up for bidding is 1975 Honda CB750F Super Sport. It’s just nice unrestored original survivor. It’s been laid over time or two and isn’t quite perfect, but it looks good, turns heads wherever go, and runs awesomely.
The bad: The paint isn’t quite concours level. It’s an old bike and, as I’ve said, in original condition. There is also some pitting on the chrome in places. have tried to show as much in the pictures.
It leaks small amount of oil. Also, the fuel shutoff tends to stay little moist.
The low beam is out. just run it on the high beam all the time, which works fine.
It’s been lightly laid over twice. Both times on the same side, which was the exhaust side. That has been replaced, as have been both brake and clutch levers. If you look, you can still find evidence, but you’d have to look close.
The cam chains are little loud, but I’ve heard louder on bikes of this era.
The good: it has new tires, brakes, chain and sprockets, battery, and fresh oil and fresh tune-up. always have my bikes worked on by guys who run their own shops and are thus invested in the quality of service they provide. My mechanic is an old soul who specializes in vintage iron. He’s got this thing so dialed in would ride it to California tomorrow.  The seat was cut down for my brother who is pretty short, but we had it done in café style that we think looks pretty sharp.
Other than the low beam, everything works just as it should. Lights, horn, even the old-school beeping turn signals so you never ride for three miles with blinker on. Gauges and backlighting are solid. The new exhaust is aftermarket but isn’t obnoxious. It isn’t loud at all but has little bark. It looks and sounds tasteful. The thing still has the original tool kit and owner’s manual.
The other day my father and beat rainstorm home by minutes and did so by hauling ass.  My dad’s 1977 Yamaha XS750 and this old girl were champs. Every shift near the redline, banking deep into corners, braking hard. The Blue Bullet didn’t break sweat.
If you’re looking for an original vintage machine that is reliable, fun, looks great but won’t break your heart if you get caught in the rain, here’s your ticket. You could take it out on the back roads and cane it for all it was worth, or you could spruce it up bit and take it to shows.  You could commute to work on it, or you could enter it in your local vintage racing association and go out on the weekends dragging your knees in the curves.
Title is clear and in my name. The motorcycle belonged to my brother for the last twenty years, and bought it from him last year thinking that really did need two motorcycles when, in reality, don’t. Time to move it on to someone who will enjoy it for what it is.  It doesn’t deserve to be languishing in dark garage. It should be out canyon carving.
