Up for auction is nostalgic 1976 HARLEY DAVIDSON Sportster 1000 XLH. This Sportster is beautiful cobalt blue with "Merlin the Wizard" mural on top of Fat Bob gas tank. As you can see from the photos, this bike has lots of chrome, including the oil tank, cylinder heads, chain guard, sprocket, crankcase, gearcase, battery case, tire rims, twisted rear spokes, and much more. This Sportster also has mustang seat, sissy bar, electric and kick start, S&S carburator, leather saddle bags and front fork bag, and new tires. Also included is service manual, Diehard 1.5 amp "trickle" battery charger/maintainer, and motorcycle cover, and three hardcover Harley Davidson books. 

Although the odometer indicates 12,149 miles, this motorcycle was completely rebuilt several years ago with many new parts.  (The odometer was most likely replaced and so the Certificate of Title indicates the mileage as 999,999.)  Other than some minor nicks in the paint (the gas tank has nick that has been touched up) and some small chips in the chrome (the rear tire rim and crankcase), this unique and eye-catching Sportster is in excellent condition and has been well-maintained. 

This 1976 Sportster is an "IronHead" with the cast iron V-Twin engine cylinder heads. These IronHead engines are known for their original and nostalgic HARLEY DAVIDSON sound that is, "loud and mean!"
