NO RESERVE AUCTION ON THIS BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE HONDA 750

1976 Honda CB750A Hondamatic w/3.2K actual miles recently restored and running great! The original 2-speed automatic Honda that brought new trend to motorcycling. Shifting requires no clutch, just put in gear and drive away like your car! If you don't know what it is, just google Hondamatic. Same transmission was used in Honda's first cars, nobody has ever worn one out.
This was 'barn find' that was last ridden in 1980 or so... only 3200 miles on the speedometer. Still has the original exhaust and engine guard. It has been repaired, restored, polished and replaced until it is ready for the road once again. Over $2700 worth of work was done to bring this bike to it's current condition.

She cranks quickly, comes off the choke rapidly and purrs away with ease. Front brake disassembled and rebuilt with new parts. All electrical system works. Parking brake works. Honda made one heck of machine when this one rolled off the line. This is an antique bike, restored to be able to putt around town and take to the mountains on the weekends. took it out to the interstate and ran at 75mph to make sure it is road worthy... ran great!! suppose you could go cross country on it, but bike this old is typically just for short jaunts. Expect to see scratches and little rust; that is just the patina of 45 years. Bike is sold in "as is" condition, ask any questions or request any additional photos prior to bidding.

Note that original speedo was dragging terribly so it was replaced with an OEM '76 speedo for the CB750A with 13K miles on it... original speedo will come with bike.

Quick Followup Notes:- yes, my quick-eyed friends, this is '76 in '78 colors... much prettier than the dull red or green don't you agree?- yes, same key works the ignition, fuel door and seat lock- yes, exhaust has been painted with ceramic hi-temp paint... pics of the original brown(not blue) exhaust can be seen in one of photos
- and yes, the fuse box has been altered (all the old ones need fixing or replacing) to use modern blade fuse (spare included!)
