For the past year this 1978 Harley-Davidson FLH has been completely gone through so it could be daily rider.  We only used OEM replacement parts.  It is truly joy to ride this classic shovelhead Harley-Davidson on the open road.  It cold starts without problem with single push of the starter button.  If your kicker, it kicks over first kick.  Every gasket has been replaced and the Harley does not drip oil.  Ill start with all the upgrades and replacement parts:The shovelhead has S&S cases that are stamped U2505.  The bore is 3.625.  The stroke is stock at 4.25 which gives 88 cubic in. The motor sounds awesome, idles low and does not run hot.  The duel oil coolers work well as they should.  real classic going down the highway with ease.  The head gaskets were bad so we replaced them with new gaskets part no:59150.  Base gasket set was also used part no:60488.  We used big bore Hi-torque cylinder base nuts.  All the oil line and oil seals were replaced.  This FLH Shovelhead does not leak!  The exhaust received new gaskets and was re-aligned to be snug to the bike.  The drag pipes look and sound great!  The original FLH oil tank had leak so we replaced it with OEM style 4-speed oil tank with 85009 oil cap.  New crankcase vent part no:12-240 along with new crankcase breather filter.  Has new SAE 50 Lucas oil and new filter that were added last week.  Oil pressure switch was replaced.  Primary has been completely rebuilt.   Inner primary kit, O-rings, compensating sprocket 24t, sprocket shaft ext, primary chain 52-280, Primary outer gasket,  compensating sprocket nut, all replaced and all brand new.  S&S Super carb received rebuild kit.  New air element.  New charging system part no: 53-605.  New spark plugs and new Dyna coil.  New sealed battery.  We wanted the bike to be safe so it received new front master cylinder.  The duel disk front end setup was cleaned and received new pads.  The original rear brake caliper was warped so we replaced it with OEM style caliper part no: 59150.  Stops on dime!  The 4-speed tranny shifts smooth and works as it should.  Gas tank has been sealed and petcock does not leak.  Paint has few scratches on tail and front fender but is nice for rider.  The only dent is small, and on the lower left bottom corner of the gas tank.  Bike shines well and all of the chrome looks good.  The front wheel is unique with 21" twisted spoke duel disk setup.  Tires are Dunlop and are in good condition.  The front end is 35mm and is off of FLH lowrider.  Very cool slim front end.  LePera seat looks good and feels good on those long rides.  This bike will not disappoint and has been meticulous gone through for safety and reliability.  will help load the bike and answer any questions  call 317-227-9064 No problem if you are an international buyer and can arrange your own shipping method.
