1979 Harley-Davidson FLH Electra Glide. This is matching numbers bike that have been restoring back to original. 1340 cc Shovelhead with S&S Super carb and electric and kick start. It runs strong and drives well. Unfortunately work and family requirements don't allow me much riding time any more so I've decided to sell it.The engine had complete top-end rebuild earlier this spring by professional mechanic in NY. New pistons, valves, seats, etc. The cam and all seals were replaced. replaced the wiring harness and went through the whole electrical system. replaced cables, lined the tanks, rebuilt/re-jetted the carb, and swapped the points with Dyna electronic ignition. replaced the starter, starter, shaft, etc. also overhauled the front/rear brake systems. We checked the clearances on the lower-end and everything looked good. It is not perfect. The transmission most likely needs rebuild at some point as it leaks and the kicker doesn't catch. think the starter gear needs new pin or replacement. have set of tanks and fenders on it with metallic blue paint. It is OK but not perfect. The tires hold air and have no dry-rot, however they should be replaced at some point. have bunch of extra parts including original tanks and front fender. They have been stripped to bare metal. will also supply electronic copies of service and parts manuals as well as the documentation about the bike received from request to HD. It needs driver-side mirror and passenger pegs.The bike is currently registered and insured. The buyer will receive CT Bill of Sale since CT doesn't title older bikes/vehicles. Thanks for looking.
