Harley Davidson Sportster XL 1200 Brand New 81K Miles Showroom Why Pay $12K? This is NOT misprint, this Harley Davidson XL 1200 Sportster is perfectly preserved bike stored in controlled climate all of it's life, drained properly of fluids and in 100% original and immaculate condition. It was carefully and professionally removed from the living room of house, hauled to an indoor facility and completely inspected, prepped and started up properly by certified Harley master mechanic (Roger, see bill). This is brand spanking new bike with original manual, keys, dealer plate, kickstand rest and cover to keep it dust free. It's the ideal bike for the finicky collector who wants only the best of the best or rider who wants to buy new Harley for less than 1/2 the price. Let's face it, Sportsters haven't changed much over the years, and this one is the upgraded XL 1200!  Come, take look and have it inspected yourself... you'll literally be flabbergasted when you see it in person. A gentleman bought of these 1996 XL 1200's, one for himself and one for his son. He kept his son's brand new bike in the living room (yes, living room where it sat all it's life) and told him he could have it once he earned his license and was ready to ride. Following hostile divorce, the gentleman's family unraveled and he, eventually, disowned his son. Upon his death, the gentleman bequeathed his home and its entire contents to "Nancy," his next door neighbor. Nancy called my friends, Jay and Sal, from Retro Image Antiques to prepare an estate sale, but Sal called me about the Harley to see if was interested in buying it. He arranged meeting with myself and Nancy and when saw the bike for the first time, my poker face turned to cartoon face (replete with bulging eyes) and my insouciant demeanor turned into "OH WOW!" Alas, there was no way to start the XL 1200, but decided to take chance due to the fact that the tanks were perfectly clean, all the rubber was supple (including the tires!) and the mileage was ineffable! When the Harley saw light for the 1st time in 20 years, knew made the right decision and couldn't wait for Roger to get his hands on it. At the shop, Roger took his time to fully inspect it and get it prepped properly for startup. got to listen to Sportster start and all could do was smile with sense of relief that it was brought to life with no issues whatsoever. 

So, basically what I'm selling is brand new 1996 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL 1200.  Please keep in mind that this is no reserve auction and your bid is legally binding agreement to purchase the Sportster.  If you make bid, I'll assume that you've asked the significant other and have funds available.  Also, ask any and all questions before making bid, as want to make sure you know everything you need before making your decision.  I do reserve the right to end the auction early, as the bike is for sale locally.  The buyer will be responsible for having the motorcycle shipped, but I'll be happy to pick you up at Detroit Metropolitan Airport if you want to fly in transport it home yourself.  There is U-Haul facility about miles away and can drop you off there if needed.  A nonrefundable $500 deposit will be due via Paypal within 24 hours of the auction end and full payment in the form of cleared certified check, Paypal or cash in person by days with no exceptions.
