My father was Harley-Davidson mechanic by profession and this was his personal motorcycle. Essentially, he bought this bike used from the dealership in 2005 for $11,000, then put some work/upgrades into it, trailered it to Daytona, came home and passed way few months later. I believe he put about 3000 miles on it in that window of time. The motorcycle has been stored/preserved in conditioned space for the past twelve years. Each year, try to make point of hosing it off, firing it up, and riding it around the block. There have been years this was overlooked. This past summer put new battery in the bike, changed couple fuel lines, drained and refueled it, and took it for few short rides. I have not driven this bike any real distances, just "around the block" few times to make sure it was functioning correctly. My only observations worth noting are 1.) it may be idling little bit low, but obviously not so much that it stalls. 2.) felt slight hesitation in first gear couple times, but it was intermittent. My honest suggestion, given the bike really hasn’t been driven extensively in twelve years, would be to have mechanic give it tune-up. Beyond that, it could probably use thorough washing. This is great motorcycle and it should go to someone who is actually going to ride it. Good luck and thanks for taking look.
