Oh boy... here we go. Never thought the day would come when had to part ways with my beloved Harley.
A lot of time, money and sweat went into making this bike just the way wanted it so understand there's going to be limited audience for this. But if you're looking for an awesome, unique bike for fair price, you've come to the right place.
There are some things that did to the bike that are going to be deal-breakers to LOT of people so let me go ahead and list the changes.
The GOOD
- Andrews 48H camshafts- Bitchin' Seats Rocker replica 21" front wheel- C&C Seats custom seat- Shotgun Shocks air suspension (rear)- Progressive Lowering Kit (front)- Heartland Rear Fender Conversion Kit- Runs awesome- Doesn't leak anywhere (see below about fork seal).
The BAD
- Does not have fuel gauge or speedo/odo. The connections are still available under the tank console, though, if you wanted to run either the original Rocker speedo/tank console (please, no) or an aftermarket mini speedo/odo.- Since took off the odometer, do not know the exact mileage. I'm guesstimating 30,000 based on what the mileage was when took the odo off and roughly how much I've ridden since. It could be more or less but I'd guess +/- 2,000 miles or so. - There is slight leak at the front right fork seal.- chopped the rear fender and it's not perfectly straight cut. Hard to see in photos.- This might be the show stopper for most. modified part of the frame. More specifically, cut off the brace that connects the front downtube to the backbone. You can see it in the two photos that are identical (except one has this piece in tact and the other does not). - This is good for me but may be bad for others. installed jockey shifter. would like to sell this bike to someone that can ride this as is and really don't want to put the traditional clutch/shifter back on, even though know it would possibly increase the number of potential buyers exponentially.- The Exile pipes look and sound great but they do get quite hot in the summer. And the black is just high-temp spray can stuff.
The UGLY
- The custom tank console has slight depression where the odometer head used to be. can send pictures if needed.- The black powder coated wheels have some scratches/imperfections.- The bottom pipe is held onto the frame via tie wire because couldn't get the bolts to line up. Has not been problem for me, though.- Only has one throttle cable- No front turn signals
I've had this bike since it was new (well actually, my brother bought it new but rode it more than him so he sold it to me) and have done maintenance on it myself. Oil changes with dino oil, gear and transmission oil probably need to be changed. It's been or years since changed those. Almost forgot... was in an accident about years ago and the bike did sustain some damage. dented tank, bent handle bars, bent footpeg and dented pipes. Obviously, I've repaired or replaced everything to better than it was before. And no issues with the frame or motor, though.
The only disclaimer I'm going to put is in regards to the cut frame. If you do end up buying this bike and riding it as is, you are assuming all risk. structural piece of the frame has been removed and riding the bike in this condition may cause injury or death. Just because I've ridden it like this without any ill effects is not guarantee that the bike is safe. The buyer assumes ALL risks associated with this modification.
I would like this to be local transaction if possible but if you're willing to arrange shipping, I'm open to that as well.
Let me know if you have any questions or need more pictures or whatever. Thanks for looking!
Jake
