What is it?
A car. red car. Registered and roadworthy. It's petrol V6 that for the age and its use gets reasonable fuel economy (14/L/100km round town). Used as 2nd vehicle when required. have had it years and done 5000km??¦ not enough to justify the $1000 year in rego and insurance, hence the sale.
What??™s good about it?
For its age it??™s nice car. Very comfortable and has many of the modern features you get now days such as air conditioning, power steering, central locking, power windows and alloy wheels.
Mechanically have had no issues (other than the initial service bill). park it in shed and never have seen fresh oil on the ground where it parks and have never needed to top it up.
Due to the colossal expense it has cost me to get it on the road initially (I bought it in an eBay auction sight unseen??¦ what an idiot), the car has very little issues. All sorts of suspension and engine parts were replaced on purchase to get it roadworthy (over $2500 worth) and major service was carried out where all the big service items were replaced (oil, oil filter, coolant, brake fluid, spark plugs, air cleaner, fuel filter etc). It also got new front disc pads and rotors. The interior roof lining has been replaced and blue teeth iPhone playing thing installed.
Ok, hit me with the bad stuff:
It is almost 20 years old with 210,000km on the clock. As consequence the car is showing lot of ware. As seen in the photos, the paint has the clear coat coming off and there are many unique and character defining scratches/dents on it. Inside there are few marks, scratches and signs of fatigue such as faded trim and cracks in plastics.
Last winter noticed the heater did not heat ??“ it??™s cheaper to wear more clothes than get stuff looked at on these older European cars.
The transmission likes to remind you its old every now and then by taking little too long to react and sometimes feeling like man inside changes gear with hammer. It really is car to be driven smoothly and doesn??™t reward fast pace. P-platers looking for drag car will be very disappointed.
The coolant light comes on every now and then. In the last 4000km it??™s used about 1ltr of coolant. can??™t find the leak but have been told this could be bad sign of head gasket. That will be expensive.
Other stuff.
The car has road worthy certificate however will be selling the car unregistered.
I am happy to drop it off at your preferred mechanical place or house in the Toowoomba area upon sale. Naturally, this will be after the vehicle has been paid for (hear all the hagglers swearing now?).
On that note, am reasonable person so contact me if you have any requests regarding delivery or payment. don??™t bite. However have not got time for people who ask dumb stuff like ???what??™s the lowest/best price???. will respond to that with price the same or greater than what is listed. This is not some crappy pawn shop show on TV, and don??™t have time for games!
