My wife and stayed in Australia for almost four years from November 2011, leaving in May 2015 after an unsuccessful attempt to gain permanent residency. This bike was purchased on the 27th January 2012 from Amber Car Sales as the manager had had his fun with it. The bike gave us much pleasure for the time we had it. It has been in storage since May 2015. We returned to Australia on the 15th December 2016, visiting the bike asap and after quick inspection, everything appears to be OK and believe it or not, it started up fine after couple of attempts. Something to be said for the new battery fitted before leaving. Having custom exhaust it has quite throaty roar.
The last big journey did was circumnavigating Victoria, travelling from Mannum past the Coorong, down the Great Ocean Road then across the ferry to the Mornington Peninsula, up the east coast through Lakes Entrance and Bega, returning over the Snowy Mountains and on through Mildura on the way back to Mannum, towing large trailer filled with camping equipment for two.

I experienced problem with the starter clutch after approximately one year of ownership and discovered that this was an inherent fault with this model. This has been rectified. ordered the complete modification kit from Yamaha and fitted it myself. have had no further problems in this area.
