OVERVIEW:Built Sept. 22, 1969 in St. Louis, Missouri, this 1969 Corvette Stingray convertible is one of 16,633 produced.  It is equipped with both hard and soft tops, non-numbers 350 ci. V8 with 4-speed transmission and air conditioning.  Now showing just over 57,500 miles on the odometer.    Bought by the current owner in 2012, the car is very complete, and it runs, drives and handles well.  Much maintenance and mechanical work has been done to the car during his ownership as required to address any issues and keep it tuned and in good roadworthy condition, with all receipts having been retained.Originally Cortez Silver, it had complete color change to Monza Red by previous owner.  This convertible is respectable driver, reliable and with good curb appeal is top down sports car that can be enjoyed right away as is.    This listing provides many more details as you scroll thru.  Near the end of this listing under Payment Terms you will find link to photo album of 147 pictures, and brief start-up video. The pics you are viewing were taken end of May 2020 and the car has traveled very few miles since. Although border crossings are still limited to ‘essential travel’, we are still able to ship cars into the USA from Canada by way of commercial carrier and can assist with all those arrangements, or arrange storage for you until borders open.     DRIVETRAIN:The 350 ci. V8 engine was fully rebuilt with mild cam and is rated at 300 hp.  It starts easily, runs well, sounds good, shows good oil pressure, and does not smoke.Compression test in 2012 at 54.6K miles showed approx. 90 psi. across all cylinders.    Mechanical upgrades under the hood include MSD electronic ignition, Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, Holley 4160/750 cfm carburetor, aluminum water pump, Chevrolet scripted chrome valve covers, and new oil pan.Other components on and around the engine appear as original equipment and are in good operable condition, and the engine bay overall is clean and tidy.    The Muncie M21 4-speed transmission was rebuilt, and with new linkage shifts as it should.New clutch fork, rod, pivot and linkage.  Free-play was recently adjusted, and there is no slipping or chatter. No unusual sounds from the rear differential.Underside of driveline is dry with no evidence of leaks or weeping.       CHASSIS:The undercarriage is essentially original and clean apart from typical road dirt from use, but new components and maintenance are evident.  The frame is in very solid condition and shows no evidence of collision damage or rust issues.    Original front suspension with new rear leaf spring hold the car in proper stance. The car is equipped with standard steering and brakes.    Steering box rebuilt and new sway bar links installed.Wheel bearings repacked.Disc brake system in good order with new calipers, pads and hoses.New park brake cable and hardware with recent adjustment.Complete new aluminized dual exhaust system at 55K miles.New gas tank, straps, filler neck and boot also at that time.    The car rides on Super Sport Futura GLS P245/60R15 white letter radials in great condition with excellent tread remaining, mounted on 5-slot rally rims in excellent condition with new trim rings and center caps.New spare tire carrier assembly with new spare mounted on new steel rim.Original jack stored in its compartment.    BODY PAINT:The car does not show any signs of previous collision damage or repairs.  Body panels, hood and doors are straight, panel fit and gaps are good.  The only notable issues are some minor damage down low on the front spoiler, likely from bumping into parking curbs, and small nick at the lower leading edge of the right door.    The color change from Cortez Silver to Monza Red was complete and done by previous owner, and there is no residual evidence of silver to be seen. The average quality repaint is good, smooth, and retains good shine.  It does have few chips here and there from its years and mileage but is free of any major issues.  There is spot of crazing in the paint about mid-section of the hood.  INTERIOR, GLASS TOPS:The black interior of the car is in good condition and shows well.  Seats were redone in leather and correct pattern, and new door panels installed by previous owner.  All are very nice with no rips, fading, or split seams, and only very slight wear evident on driver seat.Seat tracks were rebuilt.    No cracks in the steering wheel or center console. The dash pad does have one crack top center.Sun visors and headrests are nice.Carpet in very good condition with Corvette logo floor mats. Both sill plates in nice condition.Notable damage to the interior rear trim panel where chunk is broken off at the top of the left latch post, shown in the photo album.    New door hinge springs.New door striker kit and escutcheon set for rear compartment.New windshield frame and new shaded windshield installed.New OEM “Astro Ventilation” scripted and tinted glass installed in both doors, with new bushings bearings.Door and top weather seals are in good condition.    The soft top is in good condition, as is its rear window but welting above passenger window is frayed. The top goes up and down with no problems, rear deck lid and roof latches were rebuilt.  We raised the soft top briefly to show its condition but did not take the time to fully latch it at the back, so it may look bit loose for that reason only.Hard top also in good condition.     ELECTRICAL:New battery installed 2018.  Wiring on the car is original and in good serviceable condition. All gauges look good and are in working order except the clock, and no cigarette lighter.New console wiring, controls, lights, and front fiber optic lens.New ignition key release cable and transmission interlock cable.Sound system is Pioneer AM/FM/CD with remote and speakers, mounted in the kick panels and in the rear compartment.    New heater core installed. The air conditioning is not currently working, the drive belt is removed and the problem has not been investigated as this owner only drove top down. All lights are operational, all plastic lenses in good condition.  New headlight shields installed and the hideaway headlamps work as they should.Windshield wipers work, and wiper doors were serviced with new bushings pivots.     BRIGHTWORK:Front and rear bumpers are both very nice with new chrome and excellent shine.Lower grille bars are original showing only minor dullness, not really noticeable.     Very nice chrome luggage rack and twin outside rear view mirrors.Window and rocker trim moldings are in nice condition also.Door handles and rear license frame are original chrome showing only minor pitting.Chrome exhaust extensions in good condition.Crossed flags and Stingray emblems in good condition.   SUMMARY:Original literature includes Owner’s and GM Factory Assembly Manuals. If you are considering desirable C3 convertible Corvette to drive right away this may be it!You won’t be spending years or tons of money sourcing missing parts, performing extensive rust or fiberglass repairs, major mechanical restoration, or interior re-upholstering. The owner is retiring and is looking forward to restoring an older 1950’s pickup and going hunting, and after several years of top down enjoyment has now decided to make this ’69 Vette available to its next caretaker. The following is brief start-up video where you can see and hear the engine and exhaust running smooth and smoke free!  Start up 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible, 350 ci. 4-bbl. 4-Speed YouTubeVideo will open in new
