This bike is classic example of One Man's idea of 50's swingarm Bobber.  With the wide glide front end with modern harley brake, narrow white walls, classy old school graphics, and the police style seat, the bike is looker.
The frame is 1958 Harley, with 58 date code stamped on the backbone frame tube.
The tranny is '55 date coded.  It has been rebuilt throughout, new bearings as needed with close ratio
gears to suit lightweight bike like this.  The bike has enclosed primary belt drive with classic "suicide"
foot clutch and hand shift.  It's smooth shifting and easy engaging clutch.

We had 55 pan motor when we started out on this project, but partway through the build discovered
problems with the cases and switched to brand new set of S&S superstock cases to make the build on.  They come with origination documents from S&S.  The bike is registered and titled in New York as new construction 2018.
The heads and Jugs are Harley, the heads being in very fine condition with original factory bronze valve seats with very little "sinking". New valves, of course.  Also has original rocker arm assy's in good condition, no crap aftermarket items. The cylinders are .030" over with new pistons.
The flywheels are Truett Osborn 3/4" stroke, giving
88" displacement.
The Cam is classic Sifton 468,which gives significant boost in performance.  Tom Sifton knew these motors and built cams to make them sing.
It's an easy starting machine, one or two kicks, (see video) and features Mikuni VM series carburetor.  The starting drill is simple with these carbs, gas on, enrichener on, switch on, Kick, enjoy! We've run AFR meters on these carbs and they deliver very uniform fuel/air mixture at all speeds.
The oil pump is later Shovelhead item in interest in engine longevity. They deliver more oil and frankly,
original Pan pumps are getting pretty old by now, most aren't up to performing as they did when new.
Obviously, new main and connecting rod bearings were lapped and installed when we did the motor.
The electrics have been updated to 12 volts, using 65A Harley generator and electronic voltage regulator.  The "distributor" is an auto advance unit for ease in operation.
The pictures tell it all, we tried to build quality machine with the flavor of the Sixties with graphics
that tastefully reflect that bygone era.
Everything from wheelbearings on up has been refurbished or replaced to give ride that you could hop on and ride to anywhere.  The engine is barely broken in. The bike has only few hundred miles on it since building it.
But you know how it is, love this bike but it has to go to make room for another.
There are miles of smiles in this bike for the next lucky owner.
