I have all OEM parts to restore to stock (mirrors, fender, turn signals, air filter, stacks, passenger pegs, brake and clutch lever, chain guard) except for the OEM baffles and the Catalytic Converter. have an extra tail fairing and under tray and an extra pair of forks.

Has some scratches that have attempted to highlight in high-res pics mostly from being bumped in the garage crammed with too many bikes and cars and stuff.

Full History: After owning the bike for about week, had just gotten it inspected in Virginia in December of 2010 and it was super cold. Leaving Midas after the inspection lowsided on the left going about 10 mph. stayed under the bike and only got scratches on the left lower fairing (circled in the pics), scratches on the left bar end slider (replaced with shogun bar ends), and bent the clutch lever (bent it back and still have it, replaced with Pazzo shorty levers).
Had the bike with me in Panama City in 2011, when the hurricane came through had it parked in hotel parking lot with cover. It got blown over on its' right side and broke the right footpeg (replaced).
Left front fork popped its' seal and began leaking fluid. noticed sluggish response while cornering. don't have the know-how to fix fork seals and do not trust any local shops in my area so found used set from another 04 R1 on ebay and installed the left fork from the replacement set. It has some dings on the top face which have circled in the pics but the fork works fine. The original OEM fork does not have any scratches and just needs new seal and likely some fluid.
Riding on highway one day and about 1-inch strip of the rear tire come loose from the husk and became sort of whip, slapping the undertail and my back (wear your gear!). It damaged the undertail and the tail light which have replaced. The replacement undertail is black whereas the OEM is candy red. also bought an extra tailfairing/undertail combo from chinese seller on ebay in case needed it but the replacement undertail has been fine. The tail light was replaced with TST integrated tail light and also TST relay to fix the fast blinker issue.

Reason for selling: just bought an 07 Ducati Monster S4RS and also have my first bike (00 Yamaha YZF-R6) which is just too many bikes. have thrashed my old R6 and my dad wants to fiddle with it but this R1 is in excellent condition with relatively low miles. am in no rush to sell this bike and it is my all time favorite that have ridden. Just trying to clear some garage space but can make room to keep this one if must. Price is firm at $5K. Not interested in trades.

Local pickup only! If you want it shipped, it is entirely up to you after the purchase has been completed.
