2001 'X' VW Lupo 1.0E door, red, manual, 94750 miles.....** for spares or repair **
The good bits:
- lady owners from new, - extensive history with it (4 service stamps in book VW, local; more services in large   bundle of paperwork; whole host of other general work done over the years, nothing major, shown   in paperwork)- all old MOTs present- interior in very good condition- good tyres
The bad bits:
- rear bumper has split on rear near side and has lacquer peeling off- noticeable dent and scrape to near side door and rear panel- dent on driver's door, not too bad- beginnings of rust on roof above nearside door, not too bad - wheel trims missing- no spare wheel in boot- drivers door lock defective (passenger door lock works)- now fails to start, possible immobiliser fault...hence ** for spares or repair **- no current MOT
In general:
The car was bought new by lady, who sold it after years (17/04/2003) to another lady. The car was then sold again to the third lady owner (12/09/2010) who has owned it ever since.
The car was driven week ago, haven had to be jump started as it had flat battery, as it had been parked up for while. The car started very quickly, ran well and everything worked as it should do, i.e. engine was smooth, as was the gearbox, clutch, brakes etc.
Since being parked up again, the battery has retained some charge, (but probably needs to be used bit)...but.. the car will now no longer start. It will sometimes fire up quickly on the first turn of the key and run briefly, before immediately stalling and then failing to fire again.
The local garage has suggested the immobiliser being faulty, but they have not seen the car, although they have worked on the car extensively over the years and their work forms large part of the car's service history. The original idea was to give it new MOT, then sell it, but the non starting fault has had change of view.
Please feel free to view the car before purchase or ask any questions. There is no 'buy it now' price. The car is situated in South Devon and will need to be trailered.
