bought this golf couple of weeks ago for my wife. Since purchasing it has developed an engine problem. The engine starts up fine but there is rattle/knocking noise coming from the engine.  I've had mechanic have look who has told me it could be piston/crank problem.... have since bought another car as the quote to fix was too costly. The car itself is in good condition with usual age related marks. The passenger side has scrape low down as you can see in the photo. With the right knowledge the car is fixable or suitable for spare parts. It's currently SORN and with the engine problem would have to be towed away. have keys, service history and the V5 is in my name. MOT expires in September.
