This very rare and much sought after 1977 Moto Guzzi 850 T-3 has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 11243 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks.
The single most important purchase for classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be commercial venture or just hobby interest it all starts here!.
PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you may or may not know, here at DK Motorcycles we have very little knowledge or experience with these classic Italian bikes but luckily you aficionados usually put us rite!?. As you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just the mirrors front indicators. It has obviously stood while so the battery is flat, carburetors are stuck, brakes are binding. Sadly the forks are rusty.
BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.........The wheels are straight with nice clean alloy rims – there is small dent in the front rim. Forks yokes look straight. Mudguards are both solid. Instruments switches look great. Fuel tank is usably clean inside. The engine is cosmetically quite clean but sadly is seized, hopfully it will be through standing around forever but we have not inspected the engine internally so we have no idea why/how it has seized.
