HONDA CBR 600 FW STEELIE.Hello and welcome to my auction for 1998 Honda CBR 600 FW. Last of the steelies.I have owned this machine since 2005 and became the 7thowner. It was purchased as weekend toy and soon became large expensive dustcollector. It had only 6216miles on its clock when purchased it and now it’s showing just 10813 andhasn’t moved since the last mot was done in July 2013 showing 10792. These are great all rounder’s and have been getting lot ofgood press from MCN.Things I’ve done since owning...Double bubble screen, wavyfront discs, braided hoses, rebuilt rear pivot Inc bearing, carbon look levers,Chain and sprocket, tyres. In June of 2013 ithad new K&N air filter, spit fire plugs, new oil filter, fully syntheticoil, front and rear brake pads, brake fluid, carbs stripped and cleaned allready to tour Europe.............but it fell through. Both front and rear tyreshave loads of life left as does the chain sprockets.Since then it has been an obstacle in the garage and hasn’tseen the light of day much but it’s too good to scrap or break.Bad bits......no MOT as been standing years still starts nrides fine. And as you can expect with bike of this age it’s not brand new ithas been used. There are ill fitting panels (see pic of rear end) scratchesand nicks here and there but don’t let that put you off as this would make agreat starter bike or main ride............ there is still lot left for thisbike to give. I am being honest asposs. haven’t gone over it with finetooth comb as it’s not going to go for mega money now is it.Could be an ideal winter hack for someone.............I have paperwork showing the mot’s from 2005 till 2013/14and the v5 is present and in my name.I am happy for you to view but as its sorn no real test rides.....sorry.
