Hi, I'm selling my Honda CB1. Its not being used as have 600 hornet that use daily and love the power of that.
The bike has recently passed an mot with no advisories. It is rough looking old bike but it goes well and just needs some tlc. Great bike for someone that has just passed their license and doesn't want to go all out crazy on 600 on their first bike. Plenty of power but not too much to get you into lot of trouble, though it could still lose your license depending on your driving style.
Speedo is reading 58216. This is in kilometres. Equates to just over 36000 miles
It has new chain and sprocket as well as bridgestone tyres. new brake pads all round and front braided brake line. New battery. The carbs have been cleaned out recently with new carb rubbers fitted and new bowl seals. it has been serviced recently and to be honest just needs to be ridden. Has centre stand which is handy for maintenance. New rectifier. Seat has been professionally trimmed.
Its great little bike with lots of poke. low geared so great for nipping through traffic. light and small and so easy to manoeuvre. much nicer than my hornet. Parts for these bikes are readily available as there is good following for them as well as couple of really good forums to get info and parts.
there are few bad points as with any bike this age. The worst being the looks. Bad paint job and many dents on the tank. The paint is blistered on the rear fairing and has clip broken off. The exhaust back box has few rust holes in it so its super load. Easy enough to find replacement. Gear lever is little stiff, hard to block change down. I'm sure this will correct itself with bit of use as it didn't do it when parked it up.
I know the previous owner very well and he owned it for many many years. did trips to the south of France. He was meticulous about maintenance. have spent quite lot of money on this bike and its shame to see it not being used. Hence it can go to someone that will use it. Hopefully.
Please feel free to ask any questions or come and view the bike. will be about most evenings to show someone around the little beast.
The bike is advertised elsewhere so may remove this listing early.
