This bike has been owned as second owner since 1985 so the mileage is genuine. It has been modified for trail and road riding with sensible adjustments: gearing has been lowered with smaller front sprocket; the handle grips were changed for dog like types: the engine is run off direct ignition with kill switch; oil pump was removed and engine runs off petroil mix for cleaner burn. The styling includes Robert style headlamp, competition side panels, IT style rear lamp.The engine reed valve has been fitted with Boyesen reeds and the silencer is Fresco type this gives cleaner carburation and nice crackle to the exhaust. The engine starts from cold easily with little choke and is particularly quiet regarding any piston rattle and slap.The rear chain and sprockets are new and the bike has been regularly home serviced. Small cosmetic faults are small crack in the rear mudguard around an anchor point, small graze on the seat and crack in the headlamp all these have been repaired.Also supplied are: the oil pump with its reservoir in case you wish to return to auto lube, the original headlamp, the original rev counter plus its mounting, the original switch with two keys, one original handlebar lever, brake shoes, set of cables, and original number plate. Should you wish to return this to standard there are few more bits to find only have seen all of these on eBay.Also supplied are the owner's manual, the Haynes workshop manual and several wiring diagrams to show what has been altered. Plus blue tank cover which has signs of wear.This bike has seen very little use in recent years and has been carefully laid up with no weight on the tyres.Bike comes with V5 and new MOT taking it up to mid April in 2020.
